Mr. Moonan Entertains for Daughter

Lawrence Moonan, Sr., entertained on New Year's at his home, 77 Prospect, in honor of his daughter, 
Mrs. Leon Martin, of Willsboro, N.Y.  Music was furnished by Miss. Bessie Norton and 
Arthur Hasenfuss. Mr. Moonan made the hit of the evening by his ballad singing.  William Mitchell 
also sang and Ernest Hasenfuss, Jr. recited a poem.  A luncheon was served at midnight and the 
guests departed at an early hour of the morning, wishing Mr. Moonan a happy and prosperous 
new year.  The guests included the Misses Bessie Norton, Laura Norton, Nellie Young, 
Florence Young, Johanna White; Daisy Ireland.  Bess Le Grande, Julia Manning, Evelyn Moonan (Johnstown), Laura Ward (Brooklyn), Mrs. Leon Martin and daughter, Mary, (Willsboro), Charles Cooke, John Cooke, George Cooke, John Clark, Henri Hasenfuss, Ernest Hasenfuss, Jr., Arthur Hasenfuss, David Allen, Charles Foss, Robert Thorne, Ernest Hasenfuss, Sr., George Salvatore, Lawrence Moonan, Jr., Albert Marletti (Fultonville), William Moonan (Johnstown), Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fero, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Wm. J. Moonan's sister Mrs. Leon (Mayme Moonan) Martin and daughters.  The twin girls are Kathryn and Kathleen.  The older daughter is named Mary.

  1. This is wonderful. I never knew my Grandmother. My mother was one of the twins. The correct names are Katherine and Kathaleen. All three of these lovely ladies have passed. The only Moonans I knew were Uncle Larry(Jr.) and his wife Florence and son.
